Voici terminé le nouveau « Wildcat » d’Eduard. la marque Tchèque a su se hisser au niveau des meilleurs et la boite contient tout pour faire un très joli modèle. Je n’ai que quelques accessoires de la ligne Brassin, à savoir les roues et les canons des Cal50.
Tous les chiffres sont peints mais pas les insignes de nationalité car je souhaitais aller au bout du processus des nouveaux décalques d’Eduard. En effet une fois posés et secs il faut précautionneusement retirer le film du motif pour obtenir un effet peinture. Si l’idée est bonne la réalisation l’est beaucoup moins et malgré toute mon attention, des bouts de motif sont venus avec. Le scotch Tamiya s’est avéré être la meilleure des solutions! Mais Prudence.
Eduard’s new “Wildcat” is now complete. the Czech brand has risen to the level of the best and the box contains everything to make a very nice model. I only have a few accessories from the Brassin line, namely the wheels and guns of the Cal50.
All the figures are painted but not the nationality badges because I wanted to go through the process of the new Eduard decals. Indeed once laid and dry it is necessary to carefully remove the film from the pattern to obtain a painting effect. If the idea is good the realization is much less and despite all my attention, bits of pattern have come up with. Tamiya scotch proved to be the best solution! But Caution.
The plane is that of Lt.Mc Cuskey embarked on the USN»Yorktown» during the Battle of the Coral Sea in May 42, within the VF42. Embarked aircraft are well maintained or a discreet weathering!
