Incapable de produire un bombardier en piqué digne de ce nom, le SM85 étant un échec patent, l’Italie Mussolinienne se tourna alors vers le grand frère Allemand pour acquérir une centaine de Ju-87 du B au D3 afin d’équiper les groupes de « Pichiatellos ». Les avions conservaient les couleurs Allemandes et un vert Italien recouvrait les marques et insignes. Les Stukas Italiens opérèrent au-dessus de l’Albanie, de la Grèce, de la Tripolitaine et bien sûr au-dessus de Malte. La maquette d’Italeri propose une base correcte mais comme dit le proverbe :  » Qui trop embrasse, mal étreint « . le plastique est mou, les rivets sont à supprimer, la possibilité de monter le moteur complique la tache de celui qui veut le cacher. Avec un peu de travail et une bonne documentation, on arrive à un résultat honorable ! Bien que la planche de décoration soit, elle, très appétissante, j’ai confectionné des masques pour un avion de la 238° Squadriglia du 101° Gruppo Autonomo. A bientôt sur nos lignes.

Unable to produce a dive bomber worthy of the name, the SM85 being an obvious failure, Italy Mussolinian then turned to the German big brother to acquire a hundred Ju-87 from the B to D3 to equip the groups of «Pichiatellos». The planes kept the German colors and an Italian green covered the marks and badges. The Italian Stukas operated over Albania, Greece, Tripolitania and of course over Malta. The model of Italeri offers a correct basis but as the saying goes: « Who too embraces, poorly embraced ». the plastic is soft, the rivets are to be removed, the possibility of mounting the engine complicates the task of those who want to hide it. With a little work and good documentation, we arrive at an honorable result! Although the decoration board is very appetizing, I made masks for an airplane of the 238° Squadriglia of the 101° Gruppo Autonomo. See you soon on our lines.
