Lorsque l’Italie disposa du DB 605 en ligne, Tiffone sous license, le génie de l’Aerodynamisme de ce peuple esthète trouva alors un terrain fertile! Ainsi fut crée la fameuse série 5 qui comprenait le Fiat G55, le Macchi 205 et le Reggiane 2005!
When Italy had the DB 605 online, Tiffone under license, the Aerodynamic genius of this aesthete people found fertile ground! Thus was created the famous series 5 which included the Fiat G55, the Macchi 205 and the Reggiane 2005!
Ce dernier était certainement le plus élégant et le plus fin des trois. Le Macchi présentait la facilité de continuer la chaine du 202 moyennant des modifications mineures pour adapter le nouveau moteur, le G55 avait l’avantage d’être un Fiat et la famille Agnelli avait l’oreille du Dulce, mais l’avion était une réussite. La firme Reggiane était une firme jeune, créée pat le Baron Caproni, et qui avait déjà produit le Re 2000, et 2001. Une trentaine d’exemplaires furent construits et affectés à la 362° Squadriglia du 22° Gruppo, assignés à la défense de Naples, mais aussi de la Sicile ou ils furent anéantis par les bombardements au sol des Alliés. La maquette Sword est un joli short-run qui s’assemble sans trop de problèmes mais dont le point faible est la verrière. La livrée est des plus classique Verde Oliva scurro dessus et Griggio azurro dessous. Comme à mon habitude, j’ai utilisé masques maison et décalques. les stencils blancs sont de la boite à rabiot Sword ne les fournit pas. A la prochaine
