NIORT 2023
Trois semaines après l’expo de PESSAC (33) nous voilà repartis à l’expo de NIORT (79). Ils ont la bougeotte me direz-vous ? Pas du tout, comme à NIORT, j’ai ma belle famille qui habite à moins de 30mn de la salle, c’est coup double et tout le monde est content !
Chargement du PEUGEOT PARTNER pour 5m de stand avec que des bateaux sous vitrine (la patronne me demande : je mets où ma valise ? ). Route sans encombre, sans flash… Nous nous présentons à la salle dans le milieu de l’après-midi. Ce qui nous surprend en arrivant, c’est la taille du hall, 2000 m2, rempli de grandes tablées bien vides pour l’instant.
Three weeks after the PESSAC exhibition (33) here we go again at the NIORT exhibition (49). They have the fidget? Not at all, as in NIORT, I have my beautiful family who live less than 30 minutes from the room, it’s double blow and everyone is happy!
Loading of the PEUGEOT PARTNER for 5m of stand with that boats under showcase (the boss asks me: where do I put my suitcase? ). Road without trouble, without flash… We come to the room in the middle of the afternoon. What surprises us when we arrive is the size of the hall, 2000 m2, filled with large empty tables for the moment.
Aussitôt nous sommes pris en mains par l’organisation sympa (tiens ! Je vois qu’ils ont copié sur Pierrot pour le plan de salle : crayon papier et gomme). Et on nous guide à notre emplacement : « Voilà deux tables de 1,8 m vous êtes là !». Petit moment de solitude avec un timide : « mais j’avais demandé 5 m ?». Et notre voisin de s’écrier : « oh les gars ! J’ai une table de trop ». Et tout rentre dans l’ordre très sympathiquement. Remerciements au Président qui viendra s’inquiéter de notre satisfaction.
Soirée tarot et le lendemain matin, départ en solitaire à la salle. C’est quasiment plein. Une vraie fourmilière. Tout le monde s’active, ça déballe à fond. Des commerçants, qui, dans l’immensité du hall, se répartissent bien la place sans être très envahissants. On retrouve les copains et ça commence : « blabla blabla ». Je vous passe les détails.
Immediately we are taken in hand by the nice organization (here! I see that they copied on Pierrot for the seating plan: pencil and eraser). And we are guided to our location: «Here are two tables of 1.8 m you are there!». Little moment of solitude with a shy one: «but I had asked 5 m?». And our neighbor to exclaim: «oh guys! I have one table too many». And everything is in order very sympathetically. Thanks to the President who will come to worry about our satisfaction.
Tarot night and the next morning, solo departure to the room. It’s almost full. A real anthill. Everyone gets busy, it goes on and on. Traders, who, in the immensity of the hall, divide the place well without being very intrusive. We meet the friends and it starts: «blah blah blah». I pass you the details.
Petit hasard du placement, nous nous retrouvons face à quatre farouches guerriers Celtes venant des plaines des Côtes d’Armor. Le NORD quoi !!!! By chance, we are faced with four fierce Celtic warriors from the plains of the Côtes d’Armor. The NORTH!!
Même pas peur, après de longues observations réciproques. Not even afraid, after long reciprocal observations.
Je parviens tout de même à vendre leur stand 4 fois 50 euros à des visiteurs. « Ça vous intéresse les belles figurines ? je vous vends le tout 50 euros, venez les chercher dimanche soir à 18h30». J’ai encaissé l’argent, je n’ai pas eu de nouvelles de la suite…..
Bon ! Revenons à des choses plus sérieuses (je plaisantais bien sûr ! Quoique ?). Beaucoup de belles choses et la liste serait bien trop longue pour toutes les citer. Pour cela, il y a les photos, du moins, celles que j’ai réussies, parce que Papy, il tremblote un petit peu, alors !
Une excellente découverte et un 20/20 à l’organisation du bar : dans la pochette d’accueil, deux pages de commande de sandwichs (samedi et dimanche) à remplir, à déposer et à payer avant 10h au bar, où de charmantes hôtesses vous accueillent avec le sourire (merci à elles). Fin de matinée, un bénévole vient me voir et me remet ma commande, à domicile…. Nickel propre, vraiment très bien et pas de bousculade au bar.
I still manage to sell their stand 4 times 50 euros to visitors. « Are you interested in beautiful figurines? I sell you all 50 euros, come and get them Sunday evening at 6:30 pm. I cashed the money, I did not hear from the rest….
Well! Let’s go back to more serious things (I was joking of course! Although?). Many beautiful things and the list would be too long to mention them all. For that, there are the photos, at least, the ones I made, because Grandpa, he shakes a little, then!
An excellent discovery and a 20/20 to the organization of the bar: in the welcome pouch, two sandwich order pages (Saturday and Sunday) to fill, deposit and pay before 10am at the bar, where charming hostesses welcome you with a smile (thank you to them). Late in the morning, a volunteer comes to see me and gives me my order, at home…. Nickel clean, really good and no hustle at the bar.
Le public est très nombreux et très curieux. A l’aide de mes pochettes « Presqu’île de Crozon» fournies par l’office du tourisme, j’ai un nouveau point d’accroche avec le public et je suis surpris de voir comment beaucoup de personnes connaissent notre région. Pour le samedi soir, toute la doc est partie (penser à en prendre plus et à acheter une voiture plus grande pour les mettre !). The audience is very numerous and very curious. With my «Presqu’île de Crozon» pockets provided by the tourist office, I have a new point of contact with the public and I am surprised to see how many people know our region. For Saturday night, the whole doc is gone (remember to take more and buy a bigger car to put them!).

Il y a tellement de choses à voir et de temps à « blablater » à droite et à gauche, que le temps passe très vite. Le dimanche, c’est encore une super journée. Une petite pensée pour l’autre équipe qui est au festival du RELECQ-KERHUON dont vous lirez le compte-rendu la semaine prochaine.
EN CONCLUSION : une très très belle expo, bravo aux bénévoles qui montent tout cela avec toutes les obligations mises en place à cause de la situation actuelle. Je reviendrai avec plaisir pour la prochaine édition. Bin voilà ! C’était notre dernière expédition 2023. Rendez-vous dans les salons en 2025 ( quoi ? 2025 ? non mais, je rêve là ! ).
There is so much to see and time to «blah» to the right and left that time passes very quickly. Sunday is another great day. A little thought for the other team that is at the RELECQ-KERHUON festival which you will read the report next week.
IN CONCLUSION: a very beautiful exhibition, congratulations to the volunteers who are mounting all this with all the obligations put in place because of the current situation. I will come back with pleasure for the next edition. That’s it! It was our last expedition 2023. See you in the lounges in 2025 (what? 2025? no, but I dream there! ).
