Curiosité de la rentrée 2022, trois expos locales oragnisées le même WE. Tout d’abord l’expo de PLOUHINEC, 29 où nous avions répondu OK, puis SAINT MARTIN DES CHAMPS et là c’était  encore OK, puis SOUGEAL. Avec une équipe qui doit gérer en plus l’école juniors le samedi, là, on ne fournit plus. Donc une équipe de modélistes navals à PLOUHINEC et mon Pierrot et moi à SAINT MARTIN DES CHAMPS et l’ami Bruno de garde au club pour les juniors.

Cette expo de SAINT MARTIN, organisée par le MSM, fait parti des classiques puisque nous en arrivons à la 30 ème. Amis de longue date, nous n’en avons raté aucune (la plus mémorable reste celle où le déluge de l’enfer s’est abattu sur la salle, provoquant un mini tsunami et inondations). Bref un plaisir d’y retourner en période de sécheresse (je plaisante !). A l’arrivée, la salle du ROUDOUR est superbe (quelle chance, ils ont ! j’en suis jaloux !). Une harde de bénévoles portant tous T-shirt bleu et un gros badge (tiens ! ils ‘appellent tous STAFF ?), nous accueille avec le sourire. Un brave bénévole nous accompagne même, avec un grand chariot pour déménager la « flotte Campi », un coup de main bienvenu tellement on en a amené. Une gentille dame (que j’ai désigné comme soleil de l’équipe, elle se reconnaitra), nous remet les papiers d’accueil dans une fort belle pochette. 8 m pour CAMPI, en ligne droite et pas loin de l’entrée, formidable !

Curiosity of the Fall 2022, three local exhibitions oragnized the same WE. First the PLOUHINEC exhibition, 29 where we answered OK, then SAINT MARTIN DES CHAMPS and there it was still OK, then SOUGEAL. With a team that has to manage junior school on Saturday, we no longer provide. So a team of naval modelers in PLOUHINEC and my Pierrot and I in SAINT MARTIN DES CHAMPS and friend Bruno guard at the club for the juniors.

This SAINT MARTIN exhibition organized by the MSM is part of the classics since we arrive at the 30th. Long-time friends, we have not missed any, (the most memorable is the one where the deluge of hell fell on the room, causing mini tsunami and floods). In short, it’s a pleasure to go back in a dry period (I’m kidding!). At the finish, the room of the ROUDOUR is superb, (what luck, they have! I’m jealous!). A herd of volunteers wearing all blue T-shirts and a big badge, (here! they all call STAFF?), welcomes us with a smile. A brave volunteer accompanies us even with a big chariot to move the « Campi fleet », a welcome help so much we brought. A nice lady, (whom I have designated as the sun of the team, she will recognize herself), gives us the welcome papers in a very nice pouch. 8 m for CAMPI, in a straight line and not far from the entrance, great!

Avec mon ami Pierrot, l’installation est calme et sereine, un mot d’ordre « éviter la casse ». Un petit moment de crispation quand même au moment de l’enregistrement des pièces en concours avec un secrétariat « officiel » où personne ne semble connaître le réglement concours que nous nous battons à mettre en place depuis plus de 30 ans. Pour nous, l’opération concours est très importante car nous avons 5 juniors qui essuient le baptême du feu. Cela a représenté de longues séances de montage, peinture et finition (beaucoup de pression pour eux !). On n’a pas envie que cela « couac » et cela n’a pas « couaqué » (merci au MSM).

With my friend Pierrot, the installation is calm and serene, a slogan « avoid breakage ». A small moment of tension nevertheless at the time of the registration of the pieces in competition with a « official » secretariat where no one seems to know the contest rules that we are struggling to put in place for more than 30 years. For us, the contest operation is very important because we have 5 juniors who are suffering the baptism of fire. This represented lengthy assembly sessions, painting and finishing, (a lot of pressure for them!). We don’t want it to « couac » and it didn’t « couaqué », (thanks to the MSM).

Tour de la belle salle, c’est une vraie fourmilière. On y retrouve tous les amis maquettistes, poignées de mains, bisous, le COVID ne passera pas ce WE. C’est un plaisir d’être là. A l’entrée un super espace bar, où le café coule à flot. Le MSM a monté de nombreux petits chapiteaux blancs, qui agrandissent ainsi la salle, on y trouve sous l’un le modélisme naval et sous l’autre un coin LEGO envahi de marmots, un succès apparemment. A l’extérieur des chapiteaux ( c’est du boulot pour installer tout cela  ?), sont montés pour les apéros et la restauration. Plusieurs formules sont proposées, sandwichs ou plateaux repas, pour Pierrot, il ne faut pas plaisanter, ce sera plateaux repas car un sac vide ne tient pas debout. Et la journée se passe tranquillement. Le public intéressant et intéressé, montre beaucoup d’intérêt pour notre flotte militaire sous vitrine. Toutes les questions y passent ainsi que les anecdotes : »mon grand-père a été sur le Richelieu ! ». Que du bonheur. Retour à la base le soir, une petite heure et quart de route.

Après une bonne nuit de sommeil, retour à la salle pour 10 heures, des tonnes de poignées de mains et de bisous. Accueil toujours chaleureux. Causerie, échanges, blagues (pas toujours drôle !) ça n’arrête pas. Mon ami Stéphane et sa charmante épouse sont juste en face de nous et tiennent la boutique aux modèles réduits. Ils se déclarent satisfaits aussi de leur invitation. Je fais l’impasse sur les blagues qui  ont fusé entre les deux stands.

Tower of the beautiful room, it is a real ant millière. We have all the friends who are layout designers, handshakes, kisses, COVID will not pass this weekend. It is a pleasure to be here. At the entrance is a great bar area, where coffee flows freely. The MSM has erected many small white capitals, which thus enlarge the room, there is under one the naval model-making and under the other a corner LEGO invaded of marmots, a success apparently. Outside the capitals, (this is work to install all this?), are set up for aperitifs and catering. Several formulas are proposed, sandwiches or meal trays, for Pierrot, do not joke, it will be meal trays because an empty bag does not stand. And the day goes by quietly. Interesting and interested audiences show a lot of interest in our military fleet under display. All the questions and anecdotes are there: « my grandfather was on the Richelieu! ». What happiness. Return to the base in the evening, a short hour and a quarter.

After a good night’s sleep, return to the room for 10 hours, tons of handshakes and kisses. Always warm welcome. Chat, exchanges, jokes (not always funny!) it doesn’t stop. My friend Stéphane and his lovely wife are right in front of us and run the model shop. They also said they were satisfied with their invitation. I will skip the jokes that went off between the two booths.

Ah,  j’ai oublié l’apéro, à gogo, pas radin ça coule à flot. Le Barman est au top !

A I forgot the aperitif, galore, not stingy it flows afloat. The bartender is top!

En extérieur aussi, un petit camp 39/45 avec des gens sympas vêtus comme à l’époque.

Outside too, a small 39/45 camp with nice people dressed as at the time.

Quelques démonstrations de voitures radio-commandées et l’après-midi se passe en pente douce. Sylvain et ses adjoints remettent les prix sur les maquettes récompensées. Tous nos juniors ont triomphé, merci beaucoup au MSM, cela nous permettra de faire une petite fête au club, un article dans la presse et qui sait : amènera peut-être d’autres juniors chez nous. Je ne suis pas en reste car mon TIRPITZ en contruction dans son arsenal  remporte une médaille d’or et le prix de public (cela fait plaisir !).

18 heures, les adieux. Il faudra quand même 3/4 d’heure pour remballer la « flotte Campi ». Bises à tout le monde, « tiens, il ne reste plus grand monde » et route maison.

En conclusion : un WE très sympa, un Pierryck sur tous les fronts, des adjoints forts sympas. Bref, on sera encore des vôtres dans 2 ans.

Some demonstrations of radio-controlled cars and the afternoon goes on a gentle slope. Sylvain and his assistants present the prizes on the winning models. All our juniors triumphed, thank you very much to the MSM, it will allow us to have a little party at the club, an article in the press and who knows: will perhaps bring other juniors to us. I am not outdone because my TIRPITZ in contruction in his arsenal wins a gold medal and the audience prize, (it’s a pleasure!).

18 hours, farewell. It will still take 3/4 of an hour to pack up the « Campi fleet ». Kisses to everyone, « here, there are not many left » and home road.

In conclusion: a very nice weekend, a Pierryck on all fronts, very nice assistants. In short, we will still be voting in 2 years.
