Depuis mes débuts dans la maquette plastique, j’ai toujours voulu  faire un avion JU-52 version hivernale (idée venue en regardant le film «  quand les aigles attaquent »). Les années sont passées et puis, un jour, je saute le pas et trouve un bon plan sur le bon coin. J’ai acquis à coté le set de masquage vitre de chez EDUARD (je trouve ce genre de kit très pratique et un gain de temps pour la protection des vitres. Le montage se passe parfaitement bien et pas de difficulté particulière. Un peu de mastic sur les ailes et la carlingue. Mise en place des caches vitres.  Apprêtage en blanc ( il me faudra presque 3 couches de blanc pour bien blanchir l’avion)  Used: Window Masking; Eduard, ref: EX655 Gunze paint: White (H11), Black Green (H65), Interior Green (H70). Since I started working with plastic models, I always wanted to make a winter version of the JU-52 (this idea came from watching the film “when eagles attack”). The years have passed and then, one day, I jump in and find a good plan on the right corner. I bought the window masking set from EDUARD (I find this kind of kit very practical and a time saver for the protection of the windows. The assembly goes perfectly well and no particular difficulty. A little mastic on the wings and the hull. Installation of the window covers. White finishing ( I will need almost 3 layers of white to whitewash the plane)

Pour le camouflage, j’ai voulu essayer de le faire sans masquage avec mon aérographe buse et aiguille fine (acheter pour ce chantier chez OUPSMODEL). Et là… CATASTROPHE !!! Je rate complètement le camouflage… je repasse, pour cacher le vert, pas moins de 3 couches de blanc pour réussir à revenir comme au début… Sur une journée pluvieuse, je me motive pour faire le masquage de l’avion. J’ai mis presque 6h pour effectuer la protection complète de l’avion. For the camouflage, I wanted to try to do it without masking with my nozzle and fine needle airbrush (buy for this site at OUPSMODEL). And there… CATASTROPHE!!! I miss the camouflage completely… I repass, to hide the green, no less than 3 layers of white to succeed in returning as at the beginning… On a rainy day, I am motivated to do the masking of the plane. I took almost 6 hours to complete the protection of the plane.

 Puis de nouveau peinture à l’aéro et retrait du scotch le lendemain : résultat parfait (du moins pour moi). Puis vieillissement avec les jus TAMIYA, couche de vernis brillant et mise en place des décalcomanies (les staviskas viendront de mon stock perso car non fournis dans la boîte) puis couche de vernis mat. Vieillissement avec les sets de pastel TAMIYA (noir et rouille). Collage du câble. Fin de chantier. J’adore le résultat final !

Then again airbrush and remove the tape the next day: perfect result (at least for me). Then aging with TAMIYA juices, glossy varnish layer and setting up decals (the staviskas will come from my personal stock because not provided in the box) then matte varnish layer. Aging with TAMIYA pastel sets (black and rust). Bonding of the cable. End of construction. I love the final result!
