Maquette d’origine MONOGRAM reprise par REVELL. Moulage à l’ancienne, c’est le moins que l’on puisse dire !

Au premier coup d’œil, vous vous apercevez qu’il y aura pas mal de travail pour redonner une allure à peu près correcte à toutes ces pièces, à commencer par ces rambardes qui sont moulées dans la masse.

La petite scie à plastique, la feuille ponce, la petite lime et l’on arrive à quelque chose de correct. A noter quand même que le pont se pose vraiment comme il faut sur la coque. Une bonne colle contact et vous n’avez pas de masticage à réaliser. Un bon point quand même !

Un plan des plus simplistes à bien étudier surtout. A chaque nouvelle pièce à poser, un ébavurage s’impose nécessairement. Il en ira ainsi tout au long de la réalisation de chaque phase du plan. Mais, avec un peu de patience, vous arrivez à une finition correcte. Pour les peintures, à suivre comme indiqué sur le plan.

At first glance, you realize that there will be quite a lot of work to restore an almost correct look to all these pieces, starting with these railings that are cast into the mass.

The small plastic saw, the pumice sheet, the small file and we arrive at something correct. It should be noted that the deck is resting really well on the hull. A good contact glue and you do not have any masticage to make. A good point anyway!

A plan of the most simplistic to study especially well. At each new piece to be laid, a deburring is necessarily necessary. This will go on throughout the realization of each phase of the plan. But, with a little patience, you arrive at a correct finish. For the paintings, follow as indicated on the plan.

La seule amélioration apportée est la pause de nouvelles rambardes en photo-découpe. Toujours fidèle aux rambardes au 1/400 de l’ARSENAL (les anciennes comme je les aime, faciles à poser). S’il lit cet article, un grand merci encore à mon ami Jacques ( il se reconnaîtra !). Comme ce navire a quand même été opérationnel, un peu de patine s’imposait.

Toujours mes pastels à l’huile. Vous pouvez faire ce que vous voulez avec ces produits. Ce sont, en quelque sorte, des tubes à l’huile solidifiés. Un peu de diluant, un peu de pastel sur un couvercle, par exemple, et vous pouvez faire ce que vous voulez (les teintes de rouille, les gris sales, etc….).

Still my oil pastels. You can do whatever you want with these products. They’re sort of solidified oil tubes. A little thinner, a little pastel on a lid, for example, and you can do whatever you want (rust tints, dirty greys, etc…).
