J’ai réussi à trouver la maquette d’un kiosque de U-Boot type VII à l’échelle 1/72ème (montage plus rapide qu’un sous marin entier et cela prend moins de place sur un diorama !). La maquette en résine est d’une qualité exceptionnelle, les détails très fins. La réalisation de la mer fût un challenge et je suis assez satisfait du résultat. I managed to find the model of a 1/72 scale Type VII U-Boot kiosk (faster assembly than an entire submarine and it takes up less space on a diorama!). The resin model is of exceptional quality, with very fine details. The realization of the sea was a challenge and I am quite satisfied with the result.

– Photo 1 : Sur un cadre photo, j’ai découpé une mousse faisant office de fond. On a picture frame, I cut a foam as a background.

– Photo 2 : j’ai détouré la silhouette du kiosque et enfoncé la mousse. Photo 2: I cut out the silhouette of the kiosk and inserted the foam

– Photo 3 : une couche de gris en bombe est appliquée sur le kiosque et les vaguelettes font formées à l’aide d’une pâte séchant à l’air . a layer of.  spray gray is applied to the kiosk and the wavelets are formed using an air-drying paste.

– Photo 5 (y’a pas de 4 …) : j’ai surligné les lignes de structure à l’aide d’un feutre noir à pointe très fine en guise de pré-ombrage. J’ai teinté la mer avec des huiles bleues.  a layer of spray gray is applied to the kiosk and the wavelets are formed using an air-drying paste.

La teinte de l’eau ne me convenant pas, j’ai repris le travail avec des acryliques bleu/vert. C’est déjà mieux ! – Photo 7 : La crête des vaguelettes est légèrement éclaircie. The color of the water doesn’t suit me, I started working again with blue/green acrylics. It’s already better! – Photo 7: The ridge of the wavelets is slightly thinned.

– Photo 9 (y’a pas de 8 …) : du gel acrylique brillant est appliqué en plusieurs couches et donne un effet de profondeur. shiny acrylic gel is applied in several layers and gives a depth effect.

– Photo 10 : Un voile de gris à l’aéro atténue le préombrage (pour une fois, j’ai réussi à garder la main légère et à ne pas le faire disparaitre, ouf !). La pose des décalco, trouvés également avec difficulté sur le net, fût laborieuse ..A veil of gray in the air reduces the pre-shading (for once, I managed to keep it light and not make it disappear, phew!). The installation of the decals, also found with difficulty on the net, was laborious ...

– Photo 11 : Les détails du kiosque sont traités à l’acrylique. L’écume de la mer est réalisée à l’aide de brins de coton mélangés au gel brillant.  The details of the kiosk are treated with acrylic. The sea foam is made using strands of cotton mixed with shiny gel.

– Photos 12 – 13 – 14 – 15 – 16 : Les marques d’usure et de rouille sont traitées aux huiles et acryliques.  Wear and rust marks are treated with oils and acrylics.

– Photos 17 – 18 – 19 – 20 : Mise en place des accessoires, des figurines et collage du kiosque dans la base avec reprise de coton et de gel pour parfaire la jonction avec la mer.  Mon premier projet ambiance maritime, long et pas simple, plein d’enseignements pour les prochains. Installation of accessories, figurines and gluing of the kiosk in the base with cotton and gel take-back to perfect the junction with the sea.  My first project with a maritime atmosphere, long and not simple, full of lessons for the next ones.
