Courant 2025, quand j’ai vu l’annonce de l’expo de BEAUVAIS, la superbe affiche m’a tapé dans l’œil. Consultation des copains, réservation fut faite rapidement à un tel point que nous étions le stand n°1. BEAUVAIS, nous y avions déjà été une fois au siècle dernier, c’était oooooooouuuuuh ! (ça y est Mamy, il y a Papy qui fait le loup). In 2025, when I saw the announcement of the BEAUVAIS exhibition, the superb poster caught my eye. Consultation with the friends, reservation was made quickly to such an extent that we were at stand no. 1. BEAUVAIS, we had already been there once in the last century, it was oooooooouuuuuh! (that’s where Mamy is, there’s Grandpa who is acting like a wolf).

Fort du minibus de la ville de Crozon (grand merci à la municipalité pour cette aide), nous nous mettons en route, le vendredi, à 9h pétantes. Pause déjeuner chez mon fils Matthieu à PLOUER-SUR-RANCE, puis route l’après-midi. Nous découvrons (pauvre plouc du bout du monde) l’autoroute à flux libre (heureusement notre bonne trésorière s’acquittera de la somme due, par internet, dans le délai imparti de 72h. Enooooorme bouchon à ROUEN, puis route merdique de ROUEN à BEAUVAIS avec, vous n’allez pas le croire, un radar tourelle dans chaque village traversé ! Prise en compte des logements puis direction la salle. Un complexe incroyable (le tout appartient au CREDIT AGRICOLE), colossal, avec un auditorium et plein de salles. L’expo se déroule sur deux étages, répartie dans plusieurs salles. Étant Bretons, nous sommes VIP et placé dans le hall devant une grande coupole vitrée. Accueil très sympa. Nous aménageons nos 6,40 m de stand. Chacun des quatre campistes a amené du matos, dont la voiture de Gaston à Didier et toute la SF de William qui remportent toujours autant de succès auprès des jeunes et moins jeunes. Soirée repos. With the strength of the minibus from the city of Crozon (big thanks to the municipality for this help), we set off on Friday at 9am sharp. Lunch break at my son Matthieu’s place in PLOUER-SUR-RANCE, then drive in the afternoon. We discover (poor redneck from the end of the world) the free flow highway (fortunately our good treasurer will pay the amount due, via the internet, within the allotted period of 72h. Enooooorme traffic jam in ROUEN, then shitty road from ROUEN to BEAUVAIS with, you won’t believe it, a turret radar in each village crossed! Taking into account the accommodations then heading to the room. An incredible complex (the whole belongs to CREDIT AGRICOLE), colossal, with an auditorium and full of rooms. The exhibition takes place on two floors, distributed in several rooms. Being Bretons, we are VIP and placed in the hall in front of a large glass dome. Very nice welcome. We set up our 6.40 m stand. Each of the four campistes brought equipment, including Gaston’s car to Didier and all of William’s SF which are still as successful with young people as they are with older ones. Rest evening.

Samedi matin, direction la salle pour 9h, heure d’ouverture au public. C’est plein comme un œuf. Le bar est juste implanté quasiment face à notre stand (peut-être calculé pour notre place de VIP de Breton ?). Accueil au bar : « vous êtes exposants ? Allez café-gateaux offerts ». Contrairement aux autres expos, nous ne connaissons pas grand monde, il est vrai qu’à 50 kms de la capitale, la région est riche en clubs. Mais, rassurez-vous, rien que des gens sympas prêts à partager dans la bonne humeur sur notre loisir. Apéro offert à midi, puis un traiteur nous a concoctés des plats et desserts. Nous cassons la croûte au stand. Samedi soir, tarot à l’hôtel (noter dans le carnet que Didier ne prend pas souvent …!). Saturday morning, head to the room for 9am, opening time for the public. It’s full as an egg. The bar is just located almost opposite our stand (maybe calculated for our VIP spot in Breton?). Reception at the bar: « Are you exhibitors? Go coffee-cakes offered. » Unlike the other exhibitions, we do not know many people, it is true that 50 km from the capital, the region is rich in clubs. But, rest assured, only nice people ready to share in a good mood about our hobby. Aperitif offered at noon, then a caterer cooked us dishes and desserts. We break the crust at the stand. Saturday evening, tarot at the hotel (note in the notebook that Didier does not often take …!).

Le stand CAMPI

Dimanche arrivée à la salle pour 9h30, le public est déjà là et échanges sympathiques avec les exposants qui ne sont pas avare de conseils sur leur savoir faire. Midi, à nouveau les box déjeuner. Après-midi en pente douce, puis remise des prix où je remporte la médaille d’or en catégorie bateau. Remballage le soir en douceur puisque nous ne partirons que le lundi matin. Au revoir aux organisateurs, resto, tarot et dodo. Sunday arrived at the room for 9:30, the public is already there and friendly exchanges with the exhibitors who are not stingy with advice on their know-how. Noon, again the lunch boxes. Afternoon on a gentle slope, then award ceremony where I win the gold medal in the boat category. Repacking in the evening smoothly since we will only leave on Monday morning. Goodbye to the organizers, restaurant, tarot and dodo.

Il est content le Président :

Lundi matin, départ 8h, on est très vigilant sur la route, truffée de radars automatiques puis autoroute à flux libre (une formalité, on connaît maintenant). Nous ferons un petit détour par Quimper pour ramener William chez lui (on lui a proposé de rentrer en stop, je ne comprends pas, il n’a pas voulu…!). Retour à la base pour 18 heures, restitution du véhicule, puis,  je suis enfin dans mon pyjama et je retrouve mon canapé. 1300 kms au compteur (le minibus, pas mon canapé !). Monday morning, departure 8am, we are very vigilant on the road, riddled with automatic radars then free flow highway (a formality, we know now). We will make a small detour through Quimper to bring William home (he was offered to hitch back, I don’t understand, he didn’t want to…!). Return to the base by 6 PM, return of the vehicle, then, I am finally in my pajamas and find my couch. 1300 kms on the meter (the minibus, not my sofa!).

EN CONCLUSION : une expo très réussie, des organisateurs au top et très sympas. Des exposants aussi très sympas (bref, tout le monde très sympa). Et bien, bravo à tous ! IN CONCLUSION: a very successful exhibition, top-notch organizers and very friendly. Also very nice exhibitors (in short, everyone is very nice). Well, congratulations to all!
