Diorama géant : "Far west"

En surfant sur le net (mon sport favori), j’ai été surpris de découvrir un diorama géant de 16 m2. On s’attendrait au minimum à du 1/35, mais non, c’est du tout petit au 1/72. J’ai contacté l’auteur de ce diorama, avec qui j’ai rapidement sympathisé et échangé (on est de la classe). Je n’ai jamais vu un tel ouvrage. Il faut le temps, la passion, la patience et bien évidemment de la place. De plus que notre passionné en a fait un autre sur le débarquement de 17 m2, toujours au 1/72 (j’espère qu’il nous le fera découvrir prochainement). Les chiffres sont éloquants, 464 piétons Indiens, 330 cavaliers indiens, 551 piétons US, 208 cavaliers US, 89 cowboys, 12 cavaliers cowboys, 121 vaches, 882 chevaux, 802 bisons, pour un total de 3459 figurines…. Chapeau bas l’ami ! Alors : il y a 3 400 figurines environ. J’habite à côté de Troyes et ce sont des connaissances qui viennent visiter ou bien les personnes intéressées. Je peins à l’huile, les petits pots Humbrol, Italeri ou Revell. J’ai commencé à acheter mes 2 premières boîtes Airfix qui étaient les Marines et les allemands de la 1ère guerre mondiale à l’âge de 12 ans et commencé à peindre à l’âge de 14 ans. Le dio sur le débarquement fait 17m carrés et le Far-west 16m carrés. J’ai fait pas mal d’expos dans l’Aube et la Marne. J’improvisais sur place lorsque je faisais mes décors. J’ai eu l’occasion de construire 2 B17 pour des aviateurs qui s’étaient écrasés à LHUÎTRE, à côté d’Arcis sur Aube et un Lancaster pour le frère d’un aviateur australien qui, lui, s’était écrasé à Chapelle Vallon. The 2 in March and May 1944 respectively.
