Les camionnettes armées SAHARIANA A.S 42 furent la réplique Italienne aux L.R.D.G Britanniques sur le théatre des opérations en Afrique du Nord 1942/1943 . Equipées d’un moteur Fiat de 100ch, avec une vitesse de 80 km/h , elles emportaient sur leurs flancs jusqu’à 20 bidons d’(essence ( 400 litres ) et ce en plus de leurs réservoirs internes, et , également 4 bidons d’eau potable ( 80litres) . Leur autonomie pouvait aller jusqu’à 1 400km .
Avec un armement puissant 1 canon de 20 ou 47mm Breda , 3 mitrailleuse coaxiales Breda de 8mm , elles causèrent beaucoup d’ennuis aux Britanniques et à leurs alliés .

The SAHARIANA A.S 42 armed vans were the Italian replica to the British L.R.D.G on the theatre of operations in North Africa 1942/1943 . Equipped with a 100hp Fiat engine, with a speed of 80 km/h , they carried on their sides up to 20 cans of (petrol ( 400 litres ) and this in addition to their internal tanks, and , also 4 cans of drinking water ( 80litres). Their range could be up to 1,400km .
With a powerful armament 1 gun of 20 or 47mm Breda , 3 coaxial 8mm Breda machine gun , they caused a lot of trouble to the British and their allies .
