Le rendez-vous de la rentrée, c’était le salon organisé par le club de DINAN. C’était un retour aux sources car il n’avait pas eu lieu depuis 4 ans (COVID, etc….). CAMPI y avait déjà participé mais moi personnellement, jamais. Il est vrai qu’il est difficile de faire toutes les expos pour satisfaire tous les amis maquettistes. Mais, cette année, mon fils et sa petite famille habitant à 10 mn de la salle, c’était opération coup double : visite familiale et expo de maquettes. Ayant eu le feu vert du club, je m’y suis inscrit, et c’est bien la première fois, après 35 ans de vie associative, que j’allais avec mon épouse, faire un stand tout seul et rien qu’avec mes modèles.

The back-to-school meeting was the show organized by the DINAN club. It was a return to the roots because it had not taken place in 4 years (COVID, etc….). CAMPI had already participated but I personally, never. It is true that it is difficult to make all the exhibitions to satisfy all the friends of layout designers. But, this year, my son and his small family living 10 minutes from the room, it was double operation: family visit and exhibition of models. Having had the green light of the club, I signed up, and this is the first time, after 35 years of associative life, that I went with my wife, to make a stand all alone and just with my models.

Route le jeudi soir, visite de DINAN le vendredi et installation du stand le vendredi après-midi. Ne faisant principalement que du diorama bateau au 350 ème, cela a été un véritable tetris pour tout embarquer dans la voiture. Je vois encore madame rigoler en me disant : « et tu crois que tu vas mettre tout cela dans la voiture ? ». Et c’est rentré !

Accueil des plus sympathiques par tous les membres du club de Dinan dont mon ami Eric. Installation tranquille du stand, 6 m, le long d’un mur, parfaitement parfait ! Je déballe, pas de casse. Salutations à tous les maquettistes arrivés, on connait pratiquement tout le monde et déjà ils m’interpellent : « tiens ! on n’a jamais vu tes maquettes ? ».

Road on Thursday evening, visit of DINAN on Friday and installation of the stand on Friday afternoon. Doing mainly diorama boat to the 350 th, it was a real tetris to get everything in the car. I can still see the lady laughing and saying to me: « And you think you’re going to put all this in the car? ». And it went in!

Friendly welcome by all members of the Dinan club including my friend Eric. Quiet installation of the stand, 6 m, along a wall, perfectly perfect! I unpack, no breakage. Greetings to all the models arrived, we know practically everyone and already they ask me: « here! Have we never seen your models? ».

Samedi matin, retour peinard, les mains dans les poches à la salle, avec mon fils Matthieu, Campiste de la première heure. La salle est pleine comme un oeuf. Une très belle salle de 1500 m2 avec pas moins de 400 m de table.

Saturday morning, back in peace, hands in the pockets of the room, with my son Matthieu, Campiste of the first hour. The room is full like an egg. A very nice room of 1500 m2 with no less than 400 m of table.

Avec une sono au top, « dit donc Président, pas trop près de la bouche le micro ! ». Tour de salle, retrouvailles, blabla, le temps passe très vite. Très rapidement, mes narines détectent des odeurs de frites : « hum ! ». Dehors, le barbecue chauffe pour les fameuses galettes saucisses. Petite découverte, juste derrière mon stand, une porte, j’ouvre et me voilà dans les WC très propre. Quasiment un accès privatif à mes WC.

With a sound system at the top, « so President, not too close to the mouth the microphone! ». Tour of the room, reunion, blah, blah, the time goes by very quickly. Very quickly, my nostrils detect smells of fries: « hum! ». Outside, the barbecue heats up for the famous sausage patties. Small discovery, just behind my stand, a door, I open and here I am in the toilet very clean. Almost a private access to my toilet.

Parlons un peu des pièces qui m’ont marquées : déjà une incroyable collection de figurines de rocker, que je n’avais jamais vue.

Un incroyable GEOTROUVETOU du MECANO qui a conçu une machine en mécano avec informatique intégré capable de remettre un RUBIK’S CUBE en ordre en quelques secondes.

Ce monsieur faisait des démos qui ont rassemblé en permanence le public. Des bateaux par centaines et des kits plastiques de qualité. Un superbe réseau de train bourré d’animation.

This gentleman was doing demos that brought the audience together all the time. Boats in the hundreds and quality plastic kits. A superb network of animated trains.

A noter, en plein air, une démonstration de montgolfière très belle, radio commandée et très originale. Un nounours faisait le passager. L’aéronaute invitait les enfants du public à mettre leur doudou avec nounours. Excusez-moi si je me trompe, mais je n’ai pas vu de candidat. L’expérience a été reconduite dans la salle pour le plaisir de tous.

Note, in the open air, a demonstration of balloon very beautiful, radio controlled and very original. A teddy bear made the passenger. The aeronaut invited the children of the public to put their doudou with teddy bears. Excuse me if I’m wrong, but I didn’t see a candidate. The experience was brought back to the room for the pleasure of all.

Une triste nouvelle, une victime est à signaler : BILL LE PORC.

J’ai mené l’enquête. Curieusement, le lendemain, le corps avait disparu. Ne pouvant rester à Dinan, j’ai passé la suite de l’enquête à Eric le secrétaire. Des premiers éléments que j’ai recueillis, les assiettes étaient bien pleines, il y aurait eu des évolutions de nuit de montgolfière (peut-être une tentative d’évasion de Bill ?) des bateaux illuminés dans la salle. Quoiqu’il en soit, je n’en ai pas su plus……Mais tout le monde avait l’air ravi de ce crime………….

N’oublions pas les bénévoles qui ont organisé et tenu le salon, un grand bravo aux deux jeunes filles qui ont tenu la caisse pendant tout le WE et avec qui j’ai pu plaisanter à chaque passage, aux dames du bar, bref à tout le monde.

Le dimanche après-midi, nous avons été victime d’un ras de marée de soleil  accompagné  d’une chaleur implacable. J’ai fondu toute l’après-midi sur ma chaise ( tiens ! pourtant tu n’as pas maigri ! ) (sale petite voix off).

Les pochettes de doc préparées par notre office du tourisme sont toutes parties pour le samedi soir (tiens ! pensez à en prendre plus !). Bref ! une réussite, un week-end sympa, une équipe au top, bravo les gars et rendez-vous dans deux ans………….

I did the investigation. Curiously, the next day, the body was missing. Unable to stay in Dinan, I passed the rest of the investigation to Eric the secretary. From the first items I collected, the plates were full, there would have been night balloon evolutions (maybe an attempt to escape Bill?) of the illuminated boats in the room. Anyway, I didn’t know any more…… But everyone seemed delighted with this crime………….

Let’s not forget the volunteers who organized and held the show, a big kudos to the two young girls who held the cash register throughout the weekend and with whom I could joke at every stop, to the ladies of the bar, in short to everyone.

On Sunday afternoon, we were the victim of a sunburst with relentless heat. I melted all afternoon on my chair (well! yet you did not lose weight! ) (dirty little voice off).

The folders prepared by our tourist office are all gone for Saturday evening (here! think about taking more!). Anyway! a success, a nice weekend, a top team, congratulations guys and rendezvous in two years………….
